Praznik (1978) received a MA in sociology of culture with the thesis
Performing the Body in Contemporary Dance: Ideologies of Body at
the Faculty of Arts Ljubljana. She works as editor, writer, dance
critic and dramaturge in the filed of performing arts since 1999.
Since 2001 she is working as a dance critic for daily newspaper
Dnevnik. She is the author of numerous articles on Slovene contemporary
dance, she was a curator for performing arts section of the festival
Vdor/Break 2.1, she collaborated as dramaturge with Iztok Kovac
and En-Knap dance company, and as a performer with German directors
Melanie Mohren and Bernhard Herbordt in the performance Patent Night
Flight. She was the curator of the exhibition Cabinet Maska. Since
2007 she is the editor in chief of the Slovene performing arts journal
Maska.
