moving moments @ pendel
An internet sculpture that consists of computer-controlled clockworks, where messages in the form of digital videos - moments - by artists all over the world are integrated into the representation of time:
A video camera pointed at the sky transmits a live picture to the clockscreen, where three computer-controlled revolving moons indicate the time through the their relative positions. Whenever the system receives a moment through its internet link the sky with the three time moons is temporarely replaced to play it. Each moment (a digital art video - max. 10 seconds) is an independent unit that relates to time.
The successive installation of clockworks at various central, publicly accessible spaces all over the world shows time through topical messages from artists to a steadily increasing public beyond the scope of the internet.
