Jedinica Jedan_Vol 2, 2014., Installation with fluorescent lights – electromagnetic field orchestra

It has probably happened at least once in your life that you were wondering about how lightning and thunder occur and what the relation between the two is. Jedinica Jedan_Vol 2 excites with a similar question: How do the visual and sound materializations of physical phenomena function and what is the relation between the sound and the visual effects?

The installation consists of several fluorescent lights, to which antennas made from enamelled copper wires are attached. When the lamps start to light they emit electromagnetic frequencies that are caught by the antennas. By connecting the antennas to a sound system, the electromagnetic frequencies become audible. Even though the technology used here it has been part of our civilization from time immemorial, the wonder of an electric miracle still haunts our imagination.
